In the late 1800s, together with his students, Moser provided designs for a Bohemian glass manufacturer, Loetz. This pair of vases is made from milky-white opalescent glass, decorated with two black circles. The petite, squat form recalls the vases by English modernist designer Christopher Dresser (who had also designed for Loetz). Moser worked with glass for his most monumental and miniature projects. Around the same time, between 1898 and 1905, Moser also created three important stained glass windows. In fact, he used the same opalescent glass to decorate a three-part portal glazing for a residential and hotel building in Trieste in 1904.
