The limited production run means each bag is in the hands of an expert and artist. The decision for the order in which the pieces are assembled is determined individually. Aside from the cutter, the House stylists determine the thickness of the thread and the number of perforations. Once the bag is polished, the master craftsman is responsible for checking the bag before it leaves the studio, as well as signing the Authenticity Card, that comes in every design. The “Opale” of 1965 is listed in the Golden book alongside over 3,000 other models, each represented by a hand-drawn sketch. The Golden book makes up an archive of Delvaux’s legacy that stands as a creative impetus for the designers of today’s collection.
