The title “Lunch Meat” refers to bologna or any thinly sliced cheap meat. The object is an enlarged architectural template. Enlarged to 48 inches wide, which is the standard width for building materials. The shapes on the template are typical forms of a building, such as doors, windows, toilets, sinks, tables, chairs. Van Woert says: “My thought was that standardized forms lead to a standardized life and I’m trying to make a relationship between Modern architecture and lunch meat.”
