Delvaux strives for purity in design. Even so, each bag has one distinct focus that makes it unique. This is exemplary in none other than the “Emeraude,” a coveted model released between fall and winter of 1998–1999, which is no longer in production. Its focal feature is its handles, which are shaped as the letter “D.” The bag’s overall form mirrors the letter, being straight on one side and curved on the other, giving it a streamlined quality. What is important is that the handles do not detract from the craftsmanship or the quality of material, where the focus and attention to detail really lies.
