With this design, Van Strien predicts the future, while reinventing a classic. The “Dystopian Brutalist Shirt” is made from a long, rectangular piece of tarpaulin with a circular cut-out for the head. Production is minimal, as the fabric only needs to be folded in half. No seams makes this sleeveless white shirt the most basic garment of the Dystopian Brutalist Collection. The final product looks like a protective tabard, wearable on top of other layers or on its own. Given the low cost of material, the shirt is unmistakably smart. Rectangular to match the bag, it gives a strong blockish look to its wearer.
