Wilhelm Wagenfeld

Wilhelm Wagenfeld (1900-1990) worked at Braun between 1954 and 1958. During this brief time, he produced a portable radio-gram, the Combi, and the PC 3 record player, which became a part of the SK 4 Phonosuper. Besides Braun, the Bauhaus trained designer is known for his glasswork, particularly his designs for producer Janear. In 1954, Wagenfeld founded his own practice in Stuttgart, which he ran until 1978. His landmark speech on the responsibility of the entrepreneur first got him noticed by Erwin Braun.
