Taylor Precision Products - Artists - Chamber Gallery

The company known today as Taylor Precision Products began with founder George Taylor building thermometers and selling them out of a truck with a friend in Rochester, New York. After opening a sales office in New York City in 1900, Taylor acquired Short & Mason in London, merging the two companies as TYCOS. The company grew with the demand for new technology, innovations, and streamlining processes of the Industrial Revolution, and established itself as a critical manufacturer of precision products—compasses, thermometers, hygrometers and barometers—during the two world wars. After more than 100 years of successful business operation, their company motto remains “Accuracy First,” just as it did at its incorporation in 1890.
