Neil Denari is principal of NMDA, Neil M. Denari Architects Inc., which has received more than twenty AIA awards. Denari is Professor of Architecture at UCLA and a Visiting Professor at Harvard, Princeton, Columbia and UC Berkeley. From 1997 until 2002, he was the Director of SCI-Arc, Los Angeles. He received his B Arch from the University of Houston in 1980 and an M Arch from Harvard in 1982. After graduate school, Denari interned at Aerospatiale’ Helicopters in Paris and later moved to New York. NMDA was founded in Los Angeles in 1988, where he is now based. He is the author of Interrupted Projections (1996), Gyroscopic Horizons (1999), and forthcoming Facticity. He has had solo shows at the Museum of the City of New York, Syracuse University and Ace Gallery Los Angeles.
