Spanish furniture designer Nacho Carbonell graduated from Valencia’s Cardenal Herrera CEU in 2003. In 2007, his graduation projects Dream of Sand and Pump it up earned him Cum Laude at the Design Academy Eindhoven. Carbonell prefers to shape objects with his hands, imparting his personality, so they become living extensions that animate space. In 2009, this won him Designer of the Future by Design Miami/ Basel, as well as a nomination for Designer of the Year by the Design Museum, London. Carbonell has been living in Eindhoven since graduation. At once conceptual and organic, his designs have attracted museums such as the Groningen Museum in the Netherlands and the 2121 Museum in Japan. Carbonell is in ongoing collaboration with Galleria Rossana Orlandi, which represents his work in Milan, Italy.
