Dimitri Bähler (b. 1988, Switzerland) opened his studio in 2014 in Biel, Switzerland after his studies at ECAL (University of Arts and Design in Lausanne) and DAE (Design Academy Eindhoven). Bähler’s spontaneous and poetic work spans mass produced to one-of-a-kind installations and design pieces. He has been the finalist of Design Parade 8 in Hyères in 2013 and nominated twice for The Swiss Design Awards in 2014 and 2015. Bähler has participated in different residencies, including EKWC, European Center for Ceramic in The Netherlands; Hors Pistes Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso; Ishinomaki Laboratory in Japan as well as directed workshops, such as Boisbuchet “Rethink the Modular” 2015, Villa Noailles 2015 and ISDAT 2016.
