As an artist, Christopher Astley’s practice is largely informed by his
interest in the relationship between time and space. Using
malleable materials such as wet concrete and plastic bags in his
three-dimensional works, Astley’s sculptures visually attest to the
basic scientific principles of nature and gravity that allow his
sculptures to take shape.
Astley’s work has been exhibited with the Art Production Fund,
Salomon Contemporary in East Hampton, Sargeant’s Daughter and
